1. Identify the actual employer

Find the legal entity named on the offer. A group can contain franchises, subsidiaries and outsourced employers with different policies. Verify the job-offer reference and official contact route rather than trusting only a message from a personal address.

The UAE government explains the formal private-sector offer and contract process in its employment guidance (opens in a new tab).

2. Research the local operation

Global company ratings can be dominated by reviews from headquarters or other countries. Look for information tied to Dubai, the UAE, the business unit and your function.

Search combinations such as:

  • Company name + Dubai salary
  • Company name + UAE reviews
  • Company name + working hours
  • Company name + interview
  • Company name + your role

Treat one dramatic review as a lead to investigate, not a conclusion. Look for repeated, recent patterns.

3. Compare the package

Separate basic salary, allowances, bonus and benefits. Compare the same role and seniority rather than an employer-wide average. Ask whether reported figures are current salaries, historical salaries or unaccepted offers.

4. Interview the employer

Ask specific questions:

  • Why is the role open?
  • How long did the previous person stay?
  • What does success after six months look like?
  • What time did the team finish last week?
  • How are promotions decided?
  • What percentage of the team received its target bonus?
  • May I speak with a future peer?

Specific questions produce more useful answers than “How is the culture?”

5. Check the manager and team

The same employer can contain excellent and unhealthy teams. Clarify who sets priorities, how work is reviewed, how often the manager changes direction and whether employees can challenge unrealistic deadlines.

6. Look for consistency

Compare what the recruiter, manager, employee reviews and written offer say. Repeated inconsistencies are themselves evidence. If the job is described as flexible but the contract and team practice say otherwise, price the actual condition.
