Most pay questions in the region come down to one thing: nobody publishes a range. UAE job adverts rarely carry one, and UAE wage rules govern how and when you are paid far more tightly than how much—there is still no universal statutory minimum wage covering expatriate employees. So salary transparency in the UAE and the wider Gulf has to be built from what employees report.
That is why we publish UAE and Saudi salary bands rather than a single average: a band shows the spread, survives a small sample, and cannot be traced back to one payslip. These four guides are the place to start if you are trying to work out whether an offer is normal.

Official statistics, survey findings and our interpretation are kept distinct. We do not invent workplace data or treat one country’s rules as regional law.
What a band looks like here
Pay appears only as a range, only once enough people have reported the same role at the same employer, and always in the local currency of the country you are browsing. No figure is attached to a person, an author or an exact date.
