- Probation, notice and termination terms

- Which terms appear in the final contract
Watch for moving numbers
If the advertised or verbal amount changes at the contract stage, ask for a written explanation. Do not count discretionary incentives as fixed monthly income.
Check the governing law is current
Egypt's Labour Law No. 14 of 2025 replaced Law No. 12 of 2003. An employer or online guide may still reference the previous framework. Use the official Ministry of Labour materials and current implementing decisions.
Test the culture during hiring
Repeated missed appointments, pressure to sign immediately, refusal to answer basic pay questions and an unwillingness to let you meet the team can preview the employment relationship.
